With an area of 11.050 m² and a design featuring an 81m column-free span, the ballroom of the APEC Conference and Exhibition Center in Phu Quoc will officially become the world's largest ballroom, surpassing the icon of Las Vegas - Caesars Forum (10.220 m2).
The APEC Phu Quoc Convention and Exhibition Center (photo above) boasts an impressive design inspired by the waves of Phu Quoc.
Not only breaking the area record, the APEC Convention and Exhibition Center opens up possibilities for organizing international events, conferences, exhibitions, and integrating more impressive performance spaces. The large ballroom can serve up to 10,000 guests for large-scale conferences, exhibitions, or festivals, and can also host banquets for 5,000 guests. In addition, there is a 3,000 m2 conference space and 30 small meeting rooms to serve diverse events and conferences.
Alongside the record-breaking ballroom, the Phu Quoc Convention and Exhibition Center also boasts a Dinner Show space with a capacity of up to 2,000 spectators, designed as a professional performance stage, where culinary arts and performance blend into a single experience. This is a rare space in Asia, where daily shows will take place after APEC. Here, the world-leading art brand Cirque du Soleil will participate in designing and staging international-class performances, contributing to making Phu Quoc a vibrant entertainment and event destination every night.

In the US, Caesars Forum is one of the iconic convention centers of Las Vegas, famous for its column-free ballroom of approximately 10,220 m2. This structure has long been considered a benchmark for large-scale trade events, exhibitions, and international entertainment festivals. In Southeast Asia, the Sands Grand Ballroom of Marina Bay Sands (Singapore), approximately 7,672 m2 in area, has long held the title of the largest ballroom in the region with a capacity of up to 8,000 guests, serving as the venue for numerous conferences, exhibitions, award ceremonies, and global events. Phu Quoc's surpassing of regional and global convention icons demonstrates Vietnam's ambition in creating structures of national standing, contributing to elevating the tourism and economy of the Pearl Island.
A major difference of the Convention Center in Phu Quoc compared to many other MICE centers in the region is its orientation to operate as a 24/7 event, entertainment, and cultural complex rather than seasonally. The convention center is located within an APEC-serving complex integrating a multi-purpose Performance Hall with a capacity of 4,094 seats, APEC Park, and adjacent to a commercial area of approximately 22 hectares, with a highlight being a 69-story tower including commercial spaces, a museum, a 6-star hotel... The complex will create a rare "event cluster" in Vietnam. This model shares many similarities with how Las Vegas exploits entertainment-convention complexes, or how Singapore creates a closed tourism-commerce-event ecosystem.
