Phu Quoc itinerary 3 days 2 nights self-sufficient for those who save time

First-time visitors to Phu Quoc or those returning after a few years often find it challenging and confusing to plan their itinerary efficiently. Basically, because Phu Quoc is so vast, almost as big as Singapore, moving between tourist spots takes some time and taxi fares can add up. Therefore, we really need a well-planned itinerary that is both reasonable and cost-effective. Let's follow VisitPhuQuoc to find out more!

Another important thing to note is that Phu Quoc is divided into two distinct seasons: the dry season from November to April and the rainy season from May to October. Each season has its own unique attractions, so the itinerary should be adjusted accordingly. For example, during the rainy season, it's not advisable to visit Rach Vem because there are no Starfish Beaches and the sea isn't as beautiful. However, Bai Sao and Bai Khem are incredibly beautiful during this time, in their own unique way.

Phu Quoc 3 days 2 nights itinerary in the Central of the Island + during the rainy season.

For those who choose to stay in the central area, they usually plan to explore both the South and North Islands. In the evening, they may enjoy visiting the night market, beach bars, or simply exploring local cuisine. Let me suggest a 3-day 2-night itinerary for Phu Quoc along this direction.

DAY 1: Visit Hon Thom

  • If you land early, before 10 am, head straight to Hon Thom. At the Sun World ticket counter, there's a free luggage storage service. It's advisable to book the cable car ticket to Hon Thom with buffet in advance, as it might be tiring to look for food afterward due to the large number of visitors during this season.

  • If you arrive around noon, it's best to return to the central area for lunch and then go back to the hotel to check-in. After resting, around 4 pm when the sun is less intense, visit Bai Sao or Bai Kem. Alternatively, you can relax at the hotel and head to the night market in the evening.

DAY 2: Safari + VinWonders + Grand World

  • Start your day by catching a ride to Safari Park. Arriving around 9 am is ideal to avoid the crowds. For those looking to save money, there's a free bus schedule to VinWonders.

  • Have lunch either at Safari or VinWonders. Then, find a cafe inside VinWonders to chill and beat the heat. Around 2 pm, start exploring to avoid the sun.

  • Enjoy VinWonders until around 6 pm, then have dinner at a local restaurant. Return to Grand World by 8 pm to catch the Vietnam cultural show at 8:15 pm and the water music show at 9:30 pm.

DAY 3: Rest or Visit Bai Sao, Bai Kem

  • If you have an early flight, spend the morning resting and waiting for your departure.

  • If your flight is in the afternoon, you can visit Bai Kem or Bai Sao in the morning. These beaches are particularly beautiful during the rainy season.

3-day, 2-night itinerary in Central Phu Quoc + during the dry season

  • Day 1: Go to Hon Thom (as instructed above).
  • Day 2: Visit Safari + Vin Wonders or take a 3-island tour.
  • Day 3: Relax and wait for departure or visit Rach Vem fishing village if leaving late.
