Symphony of the Sea' kicks off performances in Phu Quoc

The "Symphony of the Sea" show has officially premiered in southern Phu Quoc, heralding a series of grand end-of-year performances and elevating the nightly fireworks display in Sunset Town.

Running for nearly 30 minutes each evening at 7:45 p.m., the show unfolds at Kiss Bridge. Developed by Sun Group and directed by Australian production house H2O, it showcases world-class performances by 24 "water artists," including world champions in jetski and flyboarding. The dazzling mix of lasers, fireworks, and water pyrotechnics makes its debut in Phu Quoc, captivating audiences with a feast of light and sound.

The show begins with an energetic drum performance by 18 Malambo drummers from Argentina, joined by nearly 20 international dancers performing a vibrant scarf dance. This opening act sets the stage for a Hollywood-style laser show and introduces "iron men" clad in LED suits who soar 15 meters into the air on jet-powered boards, performing thrilling acrobatics amidst stunning fireworks.

Jetski athletes follow, creating a poetic spectacle with LED-lit watercraft parading across Sunset Bay. These jetskis transform into mobile firework platforms, releasing hundreds of fireworks that light up the night sky, blending modern technology with artistic brilliance.

The highlight of "Symphony of the Sea" lies in its water pyrotechnics, featuring fireworks launched from the water. Effects like water shells and water cakes combine with smoke and laser lights to create enchanting scenes against Phu Quoc's night sky. Traditional Vietnamese melodies, such as "Mother, I Love You", complement the vibrant visuals, bringing nostalgic memories to life. Jetskis release kite-shaped fireworks, evoking deep emotional connections with Vietnamese cultural heritage.

"This is the first time I've experienced such a stunning and unique show, akin to the Olympics I've watched on TV," shared Thu Phuong, a tourist from Hanoi. "The performance masterfully blends modern styles with traditional Vietnamese art—an unmissable experience in Phu Quoc."

"Symphony of the Sea" also introduces a new chapter for fireworks displays in Phu Quoc.

Visitors can now enjoy two nightly shows: the main performance at 7:45 p.m., followed by the high-altitude fireworks display of the multimedia show "Kiss of the Sea" at 9:30 p.m.

Beyond "Symphony of the Sea," Sunset Town will host a series of world-class performances throughout November. Notable among them is "Awaken Sea", a sunset show at Kiss Bridge that features elite Jetski and Flyboard performances by global champions. Highlights include aerial stunts by Kristina Isaeva, runner-up at the 2019 Flyfest Championship, and Thomas Kubik, 2024 Flyboard world champion and Guinness World Record holder for the most backflips in one minute.

Adding to the excitement is the grand opening of Sun Bavaria Bistro, which will host the "Rainbow Show", a vibrant drag queen performance celebrating the nightlife culture of global entertainment capitals.

These performances transform Sunset Town into a "never-sleeping" destination, offering visitors a dynamic mix of international-level entertainment. With spectacular shows, immersive cultural experiences, and cutting-edge performances, Phu Quoc cements its status as a must-visit destination during the year's most beautiful season.
