With two arcs extending into the sea but not touching, the Kiss Bridge is designed to honor the moment when two people gradually move towards each other, meet at the most beautiful moment of the day, and give each other hugs, kisses… to connect.

Standing with your "other half" in the scenery of the sky and sea shimmering with the pink-orange hues of sunset, with the distant chime of the clock tower echoing, surely for those in love, there is no moment more romantic than this. It is this metaphorical design that, for many years, the Kiss Bridge  – located at the central bay of Sun World Hon Thom, Phu Quoc has become a destination for couples, where they together mark the most memorable moment of their lives: a proposal.

Since its debut, the bridge with two branches that do not touch, separated by 30 cm, has garnered significant international media attention. CNN called it a bridge not for crossing but for... kissing. The bridge also appeared in the MV "I Do", the wedding "anthem" by Duc Phuc and the famous group 911, notably featuring the male lead kneeling in a sweet sunset to propose to the female lead on the other side of the bridge. Or, Miss Vietnam 2020 1st Runner-up – Phuong Anh was also surprisingly proposed to by her businessman boyfriend here during her business trip to Phu Quoc. Over the years, many couples have shared such sweet moments at Kiss Bridge.

Ms. Natalya and Mr. Aleksey – Russian tourists shared: “The bridge is truly beautiful. Couples can stand on the two branches of the bridge to give each other kisses and embraces. The design idea is too creative, as the bridge can only be united by love”.

Kiss Bridge was invested by Sun Group in cooperation with Archea Associati, a renowned architectural firm from Italy, which has breathed life into many artistic symbols around the world. The project is the culmination of two years of nurturing by the talented architect Marco Casamonti.

With artistic vision and a unique idea, he turned the concept of connection between sea and sky into a tangible structure, a structure that is both soft and sturdy amidst the ocean. This pedestrian bridge over the sea has a total length of up to 800m, forming two soft arc branches reaching out to the sea but not touching each other, leaving a gap of 30cm. This gap is where connection is honored, as only hand-holding, hugs, and kisses can fill the distance.

The design of Kiss Bridge embodies the intermingling of two cultures, Vietnamese and Italian, creating a symbol with a profound philosophy of love and connection. The work is inspired by Michelangelo's classic fresco The Creation of Adam, with the moment before the hands of Adam and God touch to create life, as well as the Magpie Bridge in the legend of Ong Ngau, Ba Ngau of Vietnam.

Notably, the 30 cm gap is an artistic intention, a poetic void that needs to be filled with human emotions, beliefs, and aspirations for connection. It is precisely because of this meaning that Kiss Bridge is affectionately called "Touch" by tourists, as a reminder that all separations can be mended when people come closer to each other. Especially when the sunset descends, the scene becomes even more magnificent and majestic as the sun will "fall" between the two branches of the bridge, then gradually sink towards the horizon. This perfect moment of convergence, where architecture blends with the miraculous beauty of nature, creates an enchantingly beautiful twilight scene.

As romantic as its name "Kiss Bridge" (Marriage Proposal), the bridge's design is also infused with art and poetry, with the inner part of the bridge's body carved with 394 verses, lyrics, and love quotes in 22 different languages. Every evening at dusk, the cleverly arranged hidden lighting system inside the bridge illuminates these sweet lines, turning this place into a poetry museum marking the rhythm of love in the heart of the ocean.

Notably, Kiss Bridge   also serves as a stage for world-class artistic performances. From the bridge, visitors can fully admire the "Symphony of the Sea" show and interact directly with professional Flyboard athletes. When night falls, the entire space lights up with high-altitude light fireworks displays between the sea and sky, transforming this place into a brilliant galaxy. And in that moment, strolling on the bridge of love, holding your beloved close, and gazing at the sky filled with colorful fireworks is undoubtedly a unique romantic experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
