In mid-February, one of Taiwan's top three most-read newspapers, Liberty Times, published an article titled 'New Tourism Icon of Phu Quoc Island,' introducing the immersive show 'Kiss of the Sea' and showering praise on Vietnam's pearl island.
According to the author Quach Xuan Xuan, Phu Quoc - the island dubbed as the "Maldives of Vietnam" - besides boasting deep blue beaches, delicious food, affordable hotels, and visa exemptions for international tourists, is now attracting attention with the new crowd-pulling highlight, the immersive art show Kiss of the Sea.
"Phu Quoc truly knows how to make Taiwanese tourists open their wallets," commented Liberty Times. The newspaper remarked that the pearl island offers an abundance of experiences, not only enjoying the beautiful nature but also experiencing the multi-media art show on the world's largest ocean. "Immersed in water, fire, dance, music... then elevated emotions with a magnificent fireworks display at the end of the show. Kiss of the Sea is an experience not to be missed in Phu Quoc," Liberty Times wrote.
Kiss of the Sea officially premiered on January 26, 2024, as a multimedia art piece, combining 8 performance technologies including fire, water, laser, light, music, projection, fireworks, and performance art showcased in a sophisticated, spectacular manner by 60 multi-ethnic artists from 20 countries around the world.
