Duong Dong Market, located on Tran Phu Street, is the largest outdoor market on Phu Quoc Island. Open daily from as early as 3 am, it gets very packed with locals haggling for fresh and dried seafood, meats, sweets and tropical fruit that are sourced from the island and mainland Vietnam.
Food stalls are plentiful here, where you can sample grilled seafood, fruit juices, and Vietnamese street snacks at very low prices. The market also offers prepacked mushrooms, fish sauce, pepper and cashew nuts, all of which make for great souvenirs for loved ones back home.
VUI-Fest Bazaar
Once in Phu Quoc, if visitors want to experience the traditional market, come to Duong Dong night market. To get a fresh experience and enjoy a novel journey of creative activities, visit Vui Phet - Vui-Fest Bazaar Seaside Night Market – the first one of its kind in Vietnam.
Vui-Fest has given Sunset Town a vibrant look besides its lyrical atmosphere. There, visitors can shop and eat at more than 50 stalls offering local specialties, handmade gifts, and domestic and foreign cuisine.
Besides, Vui Phet - Vui-Fest Bazaar Seaside Night Market is also a convergence of appealing culture and art on Pearl Island. Every night, the market will have a musical street show called "Loang Xoang show" - a unique art and entertainment programme that combines street circus and sound effects produced with kitchen utensils and fishermen's tools.
Dinh Cau Night Market
Dinh Cau Night Market at Vo Thi Sau Street features over 50 stalls selling grilled seafood, drinks, snacks, T-shirts, souvenirs and jewellery until late. Ideal for travellers looking to spend a fun evening out in Phu Quoc Island, this pedestrian-friendly market is closed off to motorised vehicles from 5 pm onwards – parking is available just outside the main entrance.
The souvenir stalls are set at the end of the street, where you can purchase unique trinkets such as pearl jewellery, handmade combs, and keychains made from seashells.
Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm
Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm is where visitors can learn about pearl farming and purchase quality jewellery on Phu Quoc Island. It was founded in 1998 by a New Zealand-based company called Treasures from the Deep.
The farm spans 6,000 sqm of cultivation pools, a spacious showroom, and a retail outlet selling high-end pearl rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets upwards. Situated along the west coast of Phu Quoc Island, Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm is a 10-minute drive from Duong Dong.
Long Beach Village
Long Beach Village comprises several streets that are lined with mini-marts, dive shops, and souvenir stalls selling the usual array of local handicrafts and foodstuff.
Located off Tran Hung Dao Street, this tourist-friendly area is also known for its array of budget-friendly accommodation options, including budget guesthouses, hostels, and mid-range resorts with easy access to the beach. Due to its close proximity to the main town of Duong Dong, travellers can easily explore prominent landmarks on foot or motorcycle from Long Beach Village.
