A bustling scene for tourism business in Phu Quoc
According to a recent report from Agoda, one of the world’s leading online booking platforms, Phu Quoc ranked second among favorite destinations for South Korean tourists, just after Nha Trang, and third among Chinese vacationers. A similar trend was highlighted in the latest figures from Phu Quoc International Airport. In the first half of the year, Chinese arrivals increased by an impressive 472% year-on-year, followed by travelers from Russia and CIS countries at 311%, and South Korea at 178%. Remarkable growth was also seen from markets like Thailand and Malaysia.
The fact that these growth rates persist even during off-season months such as July shows that the seasonal divide between domestic and international tourism is fading. This presents an ideal opportunity for businesses in lodging, dining, and tourism services to tap into a more sustainable market.
