The Martyrs' Memorial Temple in Phu Quoc City was officially started on December 2, 2021, at the Martyrs' Cemetery area in Duong Dong Ward, with a total investment of nearly 44 billion VND. The project includes the main temple, which covers an area of 1,121.5m², consisting of spaces for honoring the martyrs, worshipping President Ho Chi Minh, and a ceremonial area. Additionally, there are other facilities such as storage rooms, kitchens, and a parking lot.
The memorial is a historical and cultural structure worthy of honoring and paying tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs. Kien Giang expects that this site will also become a destination for both domestic and international tourists, offering an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the brutal war in Vietnam and the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs.
