A Journey "Up the Mountain, Down to the Sea"
Located beside Vung Bau beach, and designed and built through a collaboration between Sun Group and the talent of IMG – a world-leading golf course design and management group, Eschuri Vung Bau Golf embodies the essence of Vietnamese culture and the heavenly beauty of the Pearl Island. It is part of a golf complex spanning 7,508 yards with an area of over 65 hectares.
It can be said that Eschuri Vung Bau Golf is one of Vietnam's most strategically located golf courses, taking players on a journey "up the mountain and down to the sea" across 18 holes that stretch from "primeval forests" to the very edge of the beach.

Holes #1 to #9 are designed to reflect the pristine beauty of Phu Quoc's primeval forest, with all ancient trees around the golf holes preserved intact. The adventure presents challenges from the very first steps; even if you are a professional golfer, the challenging "primeval forest" terrain requires players to have excellent strategies to get the ball to the flag. The Green areas are designed to be not overly undulating but incredibly unpredictable, like exploring an ancient forest. You won't know where the "traps" are without the guidance of the "natives" – the experienced caddies of Eschuri Vung Bau.
Escaping the jungle, Eschuri Vung Bau Golf continues to take players on a journey from hole #10 to #18, leading them to the white sands and romantically beautiful waves of the Pearl Island. The ancient trees become fewer, and the Fairways and Greens are wider and longer, making you feel as if you are strolling on a pristine beach. The bunkers are skillfully placed by the talented hands of the IMG group, requiring players to make careful and precise calculations to get the ball into favorable positions. In these final 9 holes, the Greens become more undulating, presenting a challenge for players to conquer, like surfing the waves of the Pearl Island – incredibly challenging but also full of emotion.
Beyond the challenges, the design of Eschuri Vung Bau Golf always provides opportunities for players. You need to know how to avoid headwinds to maintain your Par score and take advantage of tailwinds to score a Birdie or an Eagle. Opportunity always goes hand in hand with challenge.

Sunset - a "specialty" in Phu Quoc as well as at Eschuri Vung Bau Golf (Photo: Collected)
A special highlight is hole #14 with a direct sea view, making players feel as if they are hitting the ball towards the horizon and, notably, fully enjoying the cool, fresh air of Phu Quoc's sea and sky. This is a feeling that few golf holes can offer, providing players with unforgettable experiences. Especially, if you play in the late afternoon (from 5 PM to 6 PM), you will be lucky enough to witness a dreamy sunset over the sea – a famous "specialty" of Phu Quoc Pearl Island that no other golf course in Vietnam can offer.
And the Journey of Exploring Traditional Culture
Beyond offering a journey through the nature of the Pearl Island, Eschuri Vung Bau Golf also takes visitors on a rather fascinating journey of exploring traditional culture, through a "stroll" in the lounge and restaurant areas.
The golf course's Club House is designed in a "smart luxury" style, deeply embodying the traditional cultural values of Vietnam while providing a spacious and unique sense of luxury. The waiting lounge is a massive, photogenic check-in area, where visitors can easily recognize the traditional "tam quan" gate found in ancient Northern Vietnamese communal house and pagoda architecture – both familiar and yet exotic.
