Phu Quoc International Airport is located in Duong To commune, centrally positioned on the island. It's just 10 km from Duong Dong Town and conveniently connects to major attractions such as Sunset Town, Hon Thom Cable Car, and VinWonders Phu Quoc. Opened in 2012, the airport has played a pivotal role in transforming Phu Quoc into a leading international destination.
Every day, the airport receives hundreds of flights from across the globe — including from South Korea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
Domestic routes: Currently, there are direct flights from Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Airport to Hotel: How to Get Around
Taxi is the most common option, readily available at the arrivals exit. Popular taxi companies: Xanh SM, Mai Linh, Vinasun, Nam Thang (Taxi Phu Quoc), or GrabCar.
Airport to Duong Dong: ~180,000–220,000 VND
Airport to An Thoi: ~250,000 VND
Airport Shuttle Bus: Budget-friendly option. Buses to Duong Dong depart from the airport’s parking lot — ticket price is around 20,000 VND/ride.
Electric Shuttle (VinFast): Free rides are available to Duong Dong and the north of the island. Pick-up at the airport parking area.
Motorbike Rental: Great for adventure seekers. Cost: 120,000–150,000 VND/day, depending on the model. You can arrange pickup at the airport directly with rental providers.
